Finally we begin the real work on the field, after months of planning on paper and PC, now it's "get their hands dirty." My brother Davide was key to this first operation, and the funny thing is that in the end he was more than satisfied despite the beginning when I had taken for mad because I told him that I wanted to fence the vegetable garden, he said: << Where the hell it has never seen a fenced vegetable garden! >>.

Perhaps here in Langa not many are fenced, home vegetable gardens sprouting here and there between the vineyards rows, but as far as I know any self-respecting garden has its own fence.

We have recovered the old poles removed from the vineyards during their resettlement, the larger ones, now blue for verdigris, cracked by the ravages of time have a certain charm, are really old, will have at least 40-50 years, who knows how many things they saw because some come from the vineyard Giachini in Annunziata, the vineyard belonged to the bishopric of Alba.

We used an auger attached to the track for the holes of the bigger stakes, planted every 8 meters and the "little hands" (that if they staple your hand they pulping it without even realizing it), to plant smaller ones between the two large, so there is a pole every 2 meters, really put in a workmanlike manner thanks to the experience of Davide who planted so many poles for rows of vines.

I can say to have the vintage fence more professional in the area ;)

It 's really nice to see three sides delimited: the idea is taking shape! For now I have decided not to fence the side near to our vineyard of Chardonnay, it's nice to see the garden that confines directly on the rows, like an amphitheater where the screws are hundreds of spectators who watch attentive and quiet the tingling human labors in building their dreams.
